Integrations

Connect the work between your systems.

Your course team should not have to keep the same information up to date in several places. onCourse has supported connectors, APIs and scripting capabilities for agreed exchanges. ISH helps you identify which existing connection fits, what each system should own and where additional work is needed.

What this helps your team do

  • Send agreed finance records to accounting
  • Pass enrolments to a supported LMS
  • Connect other systems through supported APIs and scripts

An agreed information exchange

  1. Source system

    • Owned record
    • Agreed data
  2. Supported exchange

    • Connector
    • API
    • Exceptions
  3. Destination system

    • Agreed data
    • Owned record
Illustrative workflow. Scope, responsibilities and connections are agreed as part of each organisation's setup.

An established platform, shaped around your organisation.

Already part of onCourse
Supported connectors and integration scripts already exist for selected accounting, learning and communication services. For example, the documented Xero connection sends daily journals and approved tutor-pay records; the Moodle connection can enrol learners into matched courses.
Set up for your organisation
Choose the supported connection, authorise access, map the relevant records and settings, then test the direction, timing and handling of errors.
Additional work, where needed
A new connector, extra data flows, shared identity or cross-institution consolidation require a defined scope. Each connector has its own capabilities; a logo is not a promise of every possible exchange.

We confirm the capabilities, setup and any additional work included in your arrangement before you start.

01

Keep the systems that still serve you well.

Start with the records your team re-enters or reconciles today. Decide where each record should originate, which people rely on it and what needs to move between systems. That gives you a practical basis for choosing an existing connection or defining a new one.

02

See exactly what a connection does.

The documented Xero connection can send daily journals and approved tutor-pay records. The Moodle connection can enrol learners into matched courses. Each connection has its own direction, timing, setup and limits, so we check those details against your intended workflow.

03

Test the ordinary work and the exceptions.

Agree mappings, permissions, record ownership and who handles errors. Test representative records, duplicates, interrupted transfers and reconciliation before your team relies on the connection. New interfaces, additional data flows, shared identity and cross-institution consolidation have a separately agreed scope.

Start with a supported connection
Configure supported connections with MailChimp, Xero, MYOB, Canvas, Moodle, Zoom and other listed services.
Define a new connection when needed
The onCourse API and scripting capabilities can support agreed custom integrations, with ownership and error handling defined with your team.
Connect relevant VET services
Use the documented connection and workflow for the relevant VET service, with authorisation and setup confirmed for your organisation.
